How private is driveCommerce's site?

driveCommerce understands that you want to know how information about you is used and shared and knows the importance of protecting your personal, business and credit card information. This Privacy Notice describes the DriveCommerce policy for online customer privacy. By visiting or using DriveCommerce, you are accepting the policies described in this Privacy Notice. We may modify or add to this Privacy Notice, so we encourage you to review it periodically for updates. If the Privacy Notice content is changed, we will include a message on our Web site to inform you of the update.

1. Credit Card Security. DriveCommerce is equipped with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software which means all financial data you send us – including credit card information – is encrypted during the transmission process and can only be read by our Customer Service Department. The following browsers support SSL software:

     Netscape 2.0 or higher
Microsoft Internet Explorer 2.0 or higher
America On-line for Windows 3.0 or higher

2. Information You Provide. DriveCommerce receives, stores and uses the information you provide us. For example, our site's Contact Form requires users to give us contact information (such as your name and e-mail address). Your contact information is used to communicate with you and send you information about our website. Users may opt-out of receiving special offer and promotional e-mails (see choice/opt-out below). Financial information that is collected is used only to bill you for products and services. We also use information you provide in order to respond to your questions and to customize your shopping experience.

3. Cookies. "Cookies" are programs we transfer to your hard drive which are alphanumeric identifiers. We use your Internet Protocol (IP) address so that our systems recognize your browser in order to help us diagnose problems and to administer our website. For example, our site may use "cookies" to keep track of your site visitations to our site. We may use "cookies" to deliver content specific to your interests.

4. E-mail Communications. We may receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from DriveCommerce if your computer supports such capabilities. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies in an effort to avoid sending you unnecessary messages. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us, you may opt out using the choice/opt-out link.

5. Information from Other Sources. We may also receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information. For example, we sometimes receive updated delivery and address information from our shippers or other sources so that we can correct our records and deliver your next purchase or communication more efficiently.

6. Sharing Information. We do not share, rent, sell or otherwise disclose any information except to protect driveCommerce from legal action or if requested by an official law enforcement agency to assist them with an active investigation.

7. Access to Customer Information. DriveCommerce permits you access to the following information that we have about you and, in some circumstances, permit you to update or correct that information.
